HUMANITY IN SERVICE OF CHILDREN’S HEALTH – The “Dr. Verica Mehandzhiska” Foundation enabled the expansion of the Department of Psychophysiology at the PHI Clinic for Children’s Diseases.
Projects
Yesterday marked the official opening of the new premises of the PHI University Clinic for Children’s Diseases – Skopje, Department of Psychophysiology, which had been undergoing renovation in the “Mother’s Home” facility over the past period.
In this way, the department has expanded its spatial capacities, significantly improving the working conditions and the services provided to children with developmental difficulties and their families.
This expansion enables better organization of diagnostic and therapeutic activities, as well as the provision of more comprehensive professional support in the field of child development. The new premises offer a more pleasant and functional environment for both the professional team and the patients.
This step represents a significant contribution to the continuous improvement of the quality of healthcare, with a focus on early detection, timely intervention, and comprehensive care for the mental and developmental health of children with delays in psychomotor development and autism.
The “Dr. Verica Mehandzhiska” Foundation stands as the largest donor in the realization of this important project, supported by funds raised through participant fees from the humanitarian race “Zegin Spectraton – a race of heroes in all colors.”
This year, the humanitarian race was held for the third time, with the initiative aimed at raising awareness among citizens and socially responsible companies about individuals with autism spectrum disorders. In addition to the collected participation fees, the “Dr. Verica Mehandzhiska” Foundation continuously contributes additional funds for donations to support this category of citizens.
