The ZEGIN OPEN 2024 international table tennis tournament has successfully ended

Last weekend, Berovo lived in the spirit of sports and music for three days. The third international table tennis tournament Zegin Open 2024 has successfully ended.

The fact that this year the Zegin Open was hosted by 11 participating countries also proves that this event takes on bigger proportions from year to year. In addition to Macedonia, Argentina, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, Greece, Germany, Croatia and Belarus also took part.

The competitions were held in several categories, namely:

Veterans – from 40-49 years old
Veterans – from 50-59 years old
Veterans – from 60-69 years old
Veterans- 70+
Seniors – absolute category
And for the young categories of 13, 15 and 19 years

The Croatians Josip Huzjak and Ivana Milobabic are the winners in the senior competition. Milobabic comes to the tournament in Berovo after his recent participation in the Olympic Games in Paris and is one of the most prominent table tennis names that have performed at the Zegin Open.

The tournament was also an inspiration for the representative of Kyrgyzstan, Saparbaev, who traveled 6000 kilometers with his car to participate in the international event.

This sports event was additionally enriched with a musical program. On Saturday, on the square in Berovo, the group Next Time held a concert in honor of the Zegin Open for all the citizens of Berovo and participants in the tournament.

Zegin Open is an event that takes place once a year, but it is talked about all year round!
