Zegin and the Dr. Verica Mehandziska Foundation with yet another donation. This time, the donation consists of multifunctional hand-exercise tables intended for the Institute for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation—an institution dedicated to improving the quality of life of patients who require physical rehabilitation and long-term recovery services. The purpose of these tables is to improve the range of motion of hand joints, muscle strength and endurance, hand function and hand–eye coordination; they can also effectively enhance hand proprioception and promote interaction between the various muscle groups of the hand.

The donated equipment is aimed at improving patient comfort, safety, and treatment outcomes. This contribution will directly support the center’s efforts to expand its capacity and provide enhanced care for individuals undergoing rehabilitation. The equipment has a wide range of applications, including neurological rehabilitation, orthopedic rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation, rehabilitation for persons with disabilities, geriatric rehabilitation, sports medicine rehabilitation, mental rehabilitation, and more. The first to have the opportunity to use these multifunctional tables were some of the individuals injured in the fire in Kochani.

“We are committed to supporting healthcare institutions that provide life-changing services within our community. With this donation intended for the Institute for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, we hope to contribute to their mission and help more patients receive quality care,” stated Branka Dzajkovska from the Dr. Verica Mehandziska Foundation.

The Director of the Institute for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Zlate Mehmedović, expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing the impact it will have on both patients and medical staff. Dr. Mehmedović also noted that the institution treats 20,000 patients annually, while the actual number of patients in need of their services is much higher. Thanks to donations of this kind, a larger number of patients will have the opportunity to receive the necessary care more quickly and efficiently.

The importance of corporate social responsibility and its impact on the development of the healthcare system was also emphasized.

This initiative reflects Zegin’s ongoing commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and providing continuous support to the community.
