ZEGIN COMPANY AND THE DR. VERICA MEHANDZHISKA FOUNDATION WITH A SIGNIFICANT DONATION TO THE GENERAL HOSPITAL “8 SEPTEMBER” – SKOPJE

The company Zegin and the Dr. Verica Mehandzhiska Foundation yesterday donated medical equipment to the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the General Hospital “8 September” in Skopje, thereby making a significant contribution to Macedonian healthcare and once again demonstrating an example of social responsibility. The total value of this important donation amounts to approximately 140,000 euros.

It is a hyperbaric chamber that will improve the quality of healthcare services, particularly in the treatment of patients with burns, in the treatment and healing of patients with chronic wounds that are difficult to heal, diabetic foot, as well as for postoperative treatments. It will also be used by athletes for sports injuries to enhance their performance, and it will be available to the departments of plastic surgery, pulmonology, dermatology, and other departments.

Additionally, a new air conditioner was donated, along with two multifunctional tables for physical rehabilitation, which are used in neurological rehabilitation, orthopedic rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation, rehabilitation for people with disabilities, geriatric rehabilitation, post-sports medicine rehabilitation, mental rehabilitation, etc., as well as a treadmill.

The hyperbaric chamber project was developed over a period of five months, with the ultimate goal of creating better conditions for higher-quality and more accessible healthcare for all citizens who are in need of these treatments.
