22.12.2025, Skopje – Today, at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, the Dr. Verica Mehandzhiska Foundation and Zegin awarded 14 scholarships to students enrolled in the first and second integrated cycles of study at this faculty. The scholarships are aimed at supporting and encouraging future professionals in the pharmaceutical sciences.
Pharmacists play a vital role in healthcare. They ensure the safe use of medications, support doctors, and guide patients toward better health. Awarding these scholarships provides an opportunity for students to feel supported, enabling them to achieve better academic results and further contribute significantly to the healthcare system.

Hristina Mahandzhiska Georgievska, one of the owners of the company Zegin, emphasized:
“This collaboration is the result of a shared vision in which the education and knowledge of young professionals form the foundation for the development of the pharmaceutical profession and the healthcare system in our country. Through these scholarships, we invest in those who demonstrate dedication, responsibility, and a genuine desire for progress. This initiative is carried out by the Dr. Verica Mahandzhiska Foundation, which, among other things, is also dedicated to promoting social development through support of human capital.”
The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, Prof. Dr. Zoran Sterjev, expressed gratitude for the support provided to the students and highlighted that in this way students can focus on learning and developing skills to contribute to the development of society. This student support program removes financial barriers and gives every student the opportunity to achieve better academic results.
