How did the development take place during your long career in Zegin?

My career in Zegin started 21 years ago. When I started working, I was studying at the Cyril and Methodius Faculty of Pharmacy in my last year with 5 exams remaining, and I got a job as a Pharmaceutical Technician (I had graduated from high school).

As any young student, my intention was to see and learn what it means to be on the other side of the counter serving the needs of patients, and my dream was to work in a laboratory (analytics and drug testing). I was not aware of what awaited me, and that this job is not only a long road that I will walk and face various challenges, but a ladder that I will climb higher and higher every day. The beginnings were challenging for me, I was constantly realizing and learning new things from the best “mentors” (at least that’s how I felt the colleagues who devoted themselves to my training) working in the office and daily learning about patient care and their needs. Excitement and challenges kept growing within me. After finishing college and 2 years of experience gained in the pharmacy, I was appointed as the manager of the Pharmacy. Over the years, I have constantly upgraded my knowledge and educated myself on various topics related to pharmacy and new products coming to the market for pharmacy sales. They say that persistence always pays off, I can confirm that with my long years of experience and work in Zegin. My next career progress and promotion was the responsibility for 10 subsidiaries-pharmacies in the position of Regional Manager, where I was responsible for several subsidiaries and teams, organization and normal work flow and pharmacy employees. I am currently in the position of Regional Manager and have greater responsibility for 17 branch pharmacies. Behind each of my promotions followed professional training from computer support, continuous trainings with highly qualified companies to support companies using modern management concepts and techniques, to achieve the desired reality, increasing creativity and self-discovery, leadership trainings, Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP).

Tell us about Zegin Mladina – the mentor training of new employees?

This year, the Mentoring Program “Zegin Youth” has already been developed with a special Mentoring Training Center, for all young people with completed secondary or higher pharmaceutical education, and they will be led by licensed Mentors who also participated in the development of this program. This represents a completely different and unique system for candidates’ work, a new way of gaining experience and knowledge, improving the skills of candidates with or without work experience, which I am particularly happy about and which, if it existed when I was starting out, I would very much like relieved.

What does the participation of SMART Pharmacist, the trainings that pharmacists attend, represent for Zegin?

Our company constantly follows all world pharmaceutical trends and professional trainings such as SMART pharmaceutical trainings, which are about raising pharmacy care to the hereditary level, focusing on personal and professional growth. The program is designed for pharmacists who work in a pharmacy and should possess superior knowledge, decision-making skills, higher concentration, adaptability, excellent communication and emotional stability.

Is there a system of recognition and reward for employees?

In addition to patient care, employee care is also very important. This year, in addition to numerous recognitions and financial prizes, Zegin organized an award trip for the best 15 selected employees who achieved solid results in the past 2023. The employees who were part of this six-day award trip had the opportunity to visit and experience the beautiful regions of Italy “Tuscany and Cinque Terre”. Tere”. Employees from retail – pharmacies, warehouse – logistics, online shop and commerce had the opportunity to participate in this award trip.The feeling is priceless when the effort invested has someone who recognizes and rewards it, our employees told about this experience. We thank all the colleagues who achieved results and were part of this award-winning trip that brought the employees closer together and the good memories in Italy will be talked about for a long time. I sincerely believe that this will grow into a beautiful tradition in the future for rewarding the performance of employees.
